Bullets back with membership registration excercise

Nyasa Big Bullets have re-launched its membership registration drive with the aim of raising money for the team and keeping the database for its supporters.

Bullets Chief executive Officer Fleetwood Haiya says the cards are in four categories of Platinum, gold, silver and Maule which go at K100 000, K50 000, K25 000 and K1 000, respectively.

Speaking after the re-launching ceremony at Nyasa Manufacturing Company (NMC) offices in Blantyre, Haiya said the club will start producing the new membership cards today (Thursday).
“After commercialization we indeed need to establish the numbers.Time has gone whereby we can just say we have 6 million supporters yet we dont have the database. So the card registration will help us determine the actual number of active supporters that we have,” said Haiya

He said the initiative will also encourage the sense of ownership for the supporters and encourage them to participate in club’s activities. “There are alot of activities that we are going to embark on including competitions and some other activities so the registered members will be benefiting from such activities ” he said.
Haiya further said unlike in the previous initiative, the club is printing the cards on it’s on as they now have the card printing machines, which disburse the documents instantly and have strong security features. He also said the exercise will be done at regional, district and zonal levels

Meanwhile Bullets supporters committee Publicity Secretary Mabvuto Chibambo has urged fans to support the initiative by registering in their large numbers.
In the previous initiative the ‘People’s Team’ only managed to register 786 supporters instead of the expected six million members.
