The President of MCP, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera on Saturday attended the tombstone unveiling of Inkosi Mbelwa The Fourth. The ceremony took place at the headquarters at Edingeni.
In his urology Chief Mtwalo, who spoke on behalf of the family, pointed out that all former presidents of this country have been to Edingeni to attend or preside over a function of some kind.
The President was accompanied by the Second Vice President, Hon. Harry Mkandawire, the Publicity Secretary, Hon. Maurice Munthali, First Deputy SG, Hon. Cathrine Gonani Hara and the Deputy Regional Chairperson for North South, Hon. Soko among other party leaders.
Also in attendance was the Tumbuka Paramount Chief Chikulamayembe, Senir Chief Kaomba, the clergy, The Speaker of National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Richard Msowoya and the Minister of Finance, Hon. Goodall Gondwe among others.
