Group members of Chillz, a television program that airs on Joy Television, on Saturday surprised people at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital(QECH)where they went to cheer and present gifts to patients admitted at the medical facility in 3B and Under 5 wards.
Speaking in an interview after making the donation Ndalama said the group decided to visit the hospital because it understands the challenges people face in hospitals
“Patients lack many things and we are hopeful that the things we brought will help them in a day or two.
We realise that Queen Elizabeth Hospital, being a referral hospital, has patients from far areas who may not have a relative or a friend to support them,” he said.
One of the patients admitted at the facility Bernard Phiri from Nsanje thanked Chillz group members for visiting them.
“We lack basic needs like food sugar and salt which the group has given us. On behalf of all the patients and guardians here, let me thank Chillz group for this timely donation,” he said.
Chillz program, which airs on the station every Saturday evening and repeat Tuesday afternoon, so far has members from 18 districts across the country.
