KB put Blue Eagles to the sword with a 4-2 victory in Airtel Top 8

Kamuzu Barracks started their Airtel Top 8 quaterfinal campaign with
a 4-2 home victory over Blue Eagles at Civo Stadium on Sunday.

Diofu Simaone scored the first goal for Kamuzu Barracks to put Billy
Phambala’s men into the game.
Ndaona Dayisi doubled the KB’sadvantage, finishing a slick passing move with a close-range finish 10 minutes later, before Manase Chiyesa scored a sublime third goal.
Kelvin Hang’anda scored in the added minutes of the first half to seal his
side’s first win this season having lost to Be Forward Wanderers at
the Super League launch last weekend.
Blue Eagles scored their two goals in the second half through Mphatso
Philimoni and Philip Masiye.

KB in the final

At Balaka Stadium, the unmarked Jaffali Chande headed in a Felix
Zulu’s cross before Joseph Kamwendo scored a beauty from outside the
box to give Be Forward Wanderers a 2-nil advantage over Azam Tigers.
Veteran midifielder Joseph Kamwendo was voted man of the match at
Balaka while at Civo, the man of the match award went to Blue Eagles
Stuart Mbunge.

On Saturday Silver Strikers beat Nyasa Big Bullets 1-0 while Mafco FC
lost 2-0 at home against Moyale Barracks.
These eight teams are expected to meet again next weekend in the
second leg of the MK 15 Million Cup
