Malawi Queens remain sixth in the World

By McLloyd Kudzingo

Malawi national netball team has mantained its sixith position in the world ranking table following the release of the latest rankings by the international netball federation on Monday.

In Africa the queens are second to rivals South Africa.
The rankings however have seen a historical change within the top three.
Commonwealth champions England have moved up to second place in the world netball rankings for the first time.

After their historic win on the Gold Coast, the Roses overtake New Zealand but remain behind world number one side Australia – the team they beat in the final.

Uganda have kept their seventh position in the world and third in Africa.
The update in the rankings means Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, South Africa and Malawi will now join England as automatic qualifiers for next year’s World Cup in Liverpool.
