South African based duo of Atusaye Nyondo and Robin Ngalande have joined Flames camp in preparation for the 2019 CAF Afcon Qualifer against Morocco next month.
The two have joined camp early as they are currently unattached after leaving their respective South African Premier Soccer League clubs. Initially they were expected to join camp next week.
Nyondo, who was on the books of Blomfontein Celtic has just returned from Cyprus where he went for trials while Ngalande who parted ways with Baroka FC has been training with Golden Arrows.
All the local based players except defender Hadji Wali have reported for training.Wali has failed to turn up due to acadamic engagements.
Flames coach Ronny Van Geneugden he was happy with the attitude of the players on first day.” It is very important to start on a high note and I was pleased with the energy and mentality demonstrated by all the players,” he said.
The Flames are expected to leave early next week for Morocco for their second group match of the 2019 Afcon qualifers on Friday 7th September 2018.
