Silver strikers beat KB to reclaim second position

Silver Strikers reclaimed second position on the TNM Super League log table after beating Kamuzu Barracks 0-1 on Sunday. The Bankers scored through Mphatso Philimon. They now have 47 points from 24 games, five points behind league leaders Nyasa Big Bullets who have played 22 games. Be Forward Wanderers have moved down to third position with 42 points from 22 games. KB are on eighth position with 31 points from 25 games.

At Chitowe Stadium, Mafco claimed a 2-1 home win over Blue Eagles. Chifundo Phimbi’s brace was enough for the home side to bag three points while Maxwell Salambula netted for the visitors.

At Mulanje Park Stadium, Tigers FC and TN Stars shared the spoils after settling for a 1-all draw. Dan Kumwenda scored for the Kau Kau boys while Dave Mtchini ensured a point for his side.

Blue Eagles are on fifth position with 32 points from 24 games; Mafco are second from the bottom with 20 points from 23 games.

Tigers are on sixth position with 31 points from 24 games while TN Stars are on tenth position with 30 points from 24 games as well.
