Suffix set to launch his debut album in Lilongwe

Gospel hip hop sensation, Suffix, is set to launch his debut 16-track album, Before I Sleep, at Mbowe in Lilongwe on Saturday May 5.
According to Suffix the album has been brewing in the studios since March last year and is expected to resonate well with both young and old audiences.
“It’s been a long journey and I am very excited to tell you that the album is finally done and we are going to launch it this coming Saturday, It is a dedication to people who are confunsed about life’s trials, struggles and tribulations, ” said Suffix.

With Suffix’s ability to create relatable and thought-provoking lyrics, the album has powerful songs and the real through powerful words with vibrant imagery that paint the full picture of his life experiences.
“The album consists of songs that talks about my life experiences growing up in the high density areas of Blantyre and how God has helped me to reach where I am now,” said Suffix
He added, “As I was working on my album I wanted to communicate what I have been through before I sleep or before I die.”
“There is no particular song titled ‘Before I die’ but the song that stands like the theme of the album is the one I did with Pompi which is like an appreciation on what God has done to me,” he said

Some of the songs to look forward to on this album include Cholinga and Gheto ndi Nyatwa-a song he featured Sho Baraka, which have already been enjoying airplay in most radio stations in the country.
In the album Suffix has featured Zambia’s , Pompi, Tio and Esther Chungu, Lilly Million as well as an American Christian rapper Sho Baraka.
Locally, Suffix has featured singer Kelvin Sings, Tamarah, Zyuga, Dahlie and MistaGrey.
Born Aubrey George Ghambi, The Mkazi wa Kumwamba hit maker became a born again Christian in 2011 and has since released a mix tape titled D.O.S which was released in 2012 and an EP titled Dethrone released in 2016.

Meanwhile the rapper has urged people to come to the launch which will also include other performances by Faith Musa, MistaGrey, Nyali Music and Q Malewezi
