Gospel singer Esther Chitheka who has just been signed by Porch Time Records, has released her first song this year titled “Wafika”
Produced by Paul Kachala, the song was released on Friday morning alongside its music video which has already received an overwhelming response from music lovers.
Esther Chitheka,daughter to Chitheka Family lead singer, Apostle Enesia Chitheka, came in the limelight in 2015 after being featured in Faith Musa’s song “Desperate” (Reggae Remix).
She was also one of the lead singers in a popular music group “Zathu Band” which had renowned musicians like Theresa Phondo, Praise, Umali, Paul Kachala, Joe Kellz and Nyokase Madise.
In 2023, Esther alongside two other Malawian singers; Nathaniel Chaluchalu and Taonga Kanthungo, reached the final stage of Voice Africa competition, a competition for top vocal talent in Africa.
