Renowned Journalist Wisdom Chimgwede has won primary elections and will represent Malawi Congress Party (MCP) as a member of parliament for Kasungu Municipality Constituency in the forthcoming General Elections in September.
Chimgwede won the election with 614 votes followed by Paul Chivunga who got 182 votes while MacLean Nyangu got 13 votes.
Kasungu Municipality is a newly demarcated constituency where another journalist Noel Mkubwi who once worked with Chimgwede at Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS) is also contesting as an independent member of parliament.
