President Lazarus Chakwera’s running mate in the September 16th General Elections, Vitumbiko Mumba is expected to launch the Mumba Revolving Fund (MUREF) in Mzimba Central Constituency on Sunday, 31st August,2025.
According to Mumba who is also Minister of Trade and Industry, the launch will take place at Euthini CDSS ground in Mzimba.

MUREF is expected to provide an ongoing financial support and empower people especially women and youth aged between 18 to 60 to have access to finances by starting or expanding their enterprises and small-scale farming activities.
Meanwhile MUREF has already recruited members of staff who will be assisting in managing the revolving fund.
Before the launch of MUREF on Sunday, Mumba will conduct whistle stops at Rula, Mbulunji, Mhuju,Phezi, Mkombezi and Enumweni on Friday August 29.
On Saturday, he will be at Jenda, Embangweni, Edingeni, Mwanyamula and Mzimba Boma.
On Monday, Mumba alongside some MCP officials will be at Edwazini, Mathandani, Raiply, Riviri and Nkhamenya.
Some notable MCP members that are expected to accompany Mumba in the whistle stops include Jacob Hara, Kezzie Msukwa, Joab Mwera, Aram Beza, Lomathinda Mtema and Mike Bango.
