FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Fitness Chief Steps Down After Prolonged Suspension

By Rahim Abdul

Stone Mwamadi has resigned from his position as fitness trainer at FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, bringing to an end months of uncertainty surrounding his role at the club.

Mwamadi announced his decision four months after he was suspended from duty following issues linked to an ongoing police investigation.

The development marks a significant change in the club’s technical backroom staff, as Mwamadi had been part of the Bullets’ fitness department before his suspension.

On October 11, 2025, Big Bullets placed Mwamadi on suspension and appointed Chingeni Gumbula Kadam’manga to act as fitness trainer while investigations were underway.

Explaining his decision, Mwamadi said he felt it was wise to step aside, noting that since the matter began, he was never given an opportunity to be heard or to present his side of the story.

He indicated that the absence of engagement from relevant authorities influenced his choice to resign rather than continue waiting under suspension.

Despite his departure from the leadership role, Mwamadi emphasized that he remains part of the club in another capacity, now serving as an ordinary member.

He also extended his best wishes to Big Bullets, expressing hope that the team continues to perform well in its future engagements.

The resignation comes at a time when the club is preparing for ongoing competitions and restructuring its technical team.

Efforts to obtain a comment from Big Bullets Chief Executive Officer Albert Chigoga proved unsuccessful, as his mobile phone went unanswered by the time of filing this report.
