Chisomo Taulo and Mphatso Dunkalo have emerged victorious at the Squash Malawi Championship held at Blantyre Sports Club in Blantyre.
Taulo took the top spot in the men’s A category, outplaying James Matewere 3-1 in the final, showcasing his exceptional skill and determination.
Dunkalo dominated the ladies’ division, securing a 2-1 win over Carmen Chipunga, cementing her position as a leading squash player in Malawi.
Frank Mariko, James Chaphukira, and Osman Nick also made their mark, claiming the men’s B, plate A, and plate B titles, respectively, highlighting the depth of talent in Malawian squash.
The tournament received significant support from an anonymous squash enthusiast, who contributed K5 million towards its organization, according to Squash Malawi president Edward Chilima.
Blantyre Sports Club, with its international-standard squash courts, provided an ideal venue for the championship, offering players a world-class platform to showcase their abilities.
