In a bid to promote good health and nutrition among children in Malawi, Kwayera Nyanja Foods has hosted a community breakfast for learners and teachers at Pheleni Primary School
The event, held on May 15, 2026, brought together over 30 pupils and teachers from the school, which is located near the company’s production facility.
During the breakfast gathering, learners and teachers were served bread spread with Kwayera Nyanja’s pineapple jam alongside warm tea in an initiative aimed at supporting healthy learning and strengthening relations between the company and the surrounding community.

Speaking during the event, Kwayera Nyanja Foods Production Manager, Witness M’mangisa, says the company remains committed to producing nutritious food products while contributing to national efforts aimed at improving food security and nutrition.
M’mangisa adds that the company’s pineapple jam is made using real fruit and provides natural energy important for the growth and concentration of school-going children.
According to Mmangisa , the initiative demonstrates the company’s commitment not only to manufacturing food products, but also to support the welfare of communities surrounding its operations.
” The breakfast initiative was also aimed at reinforcing relationships with local communities and promoting awareness on the importance of proper nutrition among learners.
” We will continue implementing community-centered initiatives alongside expanding its product portfolio to support both nutrition and local economic growth, She said.
Kwayera Nyanja Foods produces a range of locally made sauces and condiments including chili sauces, groundnut flour products, and other food products designed to promote authentic Malawian flavors.
