A milestone in cross-border Christian collaboration will be observed in Blantyre this month when Soche CCAP Church marks three decades of work with Shadyside Presbyterian Church.
The anniversary service is scheduled for Sunday, 24 May 2026, at Soche CCAP Church and will run from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The gathering will bring together clergy, congregants, government officials, and members of the wider community.

Malawi’s Vice President, Dr. Jane Ansah, is set to attend as Guest of Honour.
According to the organising team, her presence recognizes the congregation’s contribution to spiritual outreach, social support, and international fellowship since the partnership began in 1996.
The event is being hosted by the Soche Congregation under the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian, Blantyre Synod.
Organisers say it will serve as both a moment of thanksgiving and an opportunity to reflect on the impact of the relationship with Shadyside Presbyterian Church in promoting Christian values and community development.
Over the years, the link between the two churches has fostered joint mission initiatives, mutual assistance, and stronger ties between Malawi and the United States through faith-based cooperation.
This year’s celebrations will be held under the theme “One Faith, One Family, One Mission with Shadyside Presbyterian Church,” drawn from Ephesians 4:1-4.
Church leaders note that the theme highlights unity among believers and a shared commitment to serve through the gospel.
The programme will include prayers, worship sessions, testimonies, and reflections on the history of the partnership.
Congregation members and invited guests have been encouraged to attend in large numbers, as the occasion is regarded as a significant milestone for the Blantyre Synod.
Contact details on the official poster provide a way for the public to reach the organising team for more information.
With its focus on unity and service across borders, the celebration is expected to be one of the major church events in Blantyre this year.
