Malawi is steadily moving forward in infrastructure development as government pushes ahead with the construction of modern markets worth K84 billion across the country, a move in line with President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s vision of transforming the economy through modern market systems.
The project, which is already underway, targets Mkondezi in Nkhata Bay, Chimbiya Priority Market in Dedza, Thyolo Priority Market, Limbe Produce Market, Mzuzu Market, Kapoka Market in Chitipa and Lilongwe City.
The markets are expected to boost trade, create jobs, and improve working conditions for vendors and traders.
This

development comes days after the launch of the CDF Dashboard on Friday, a digital tool aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability in the use of Constituency Development Funds.
The dashboard reflects the DPP government’s commitment to ensuring that public resources are tracked and that development reaches the grassroots.
The DPP, under the leadership of President Mutharika, came to deliver.
From modern markets to digital governance tools, the party continues to roll out projects that directly improve the lives of Malawians.
With these initiatives, Malawi is witnessing tangible progress, proof that the DPP remains focused on delivering real development and building a stronger, more prosperous nation.
