Keffe D Davis Denies Involvement in Tupac Shakur Murder

By Rahim Abdul

Keffe D Davis, who is accused of being involved in the 1996 murder of American rapper Tupac Shakur, has denied the charge against him nearly 30 years after the killing.

Davis is accused of playing a role in the shooting that claimed the life of Shakur, who was 25 years old at the time of the incident.

However, police have told the court that Davis was the person who instructed another individual to shoot the rapper during the attack.

Prosecutors are also relying on a book written by Davis as evidence in the case, saying it contains details linking him to the shooting.

According to the prosecution, Davis wrote that he was inside a vehicle at the time of the attack and handed a firearm to another person.

Davis, however, has argued that the account contained in the book was merely part of the story he wrote and should not be treated as an admission of guilt.

Police have further told the court that, while Shakur was being rushed to hospital after being shot, officers questioned Davis about what had happened.

According to police, Davis told them that he and his group would deal with the matter themselves, a statement prosecutors say is relevant to the case.

Shakur was shot in Las Vegas, Nevada, in September 1996 and died several days later from injuries sustained in the attack.

Davis has pleaded not guilty and continues to deny responsibility for the rapper’s death, while the court is expected to consider the evidence presented by both the prosecution and defence.
