Zimbabwean musician Jah Prayzah has postponed his wedding to Rufaro Mukombe following the death of businessman Wicknell Chivayo and his wife, Lucy Muteke.
The wedding, which was scheduled for Saturday in Harare, has been postponed as Jah Prayzah mourns Chivayo, a close friend and major supporter of the musician.

Jah Prayzah and Rufaro confirmed the postponement in a statement, describing Chivayo as more than a friend and saying he became part of their family.
The two say the deaths has left them devastated and that they decided to suspend the celebrations while mourning with the bereaved families.
Chivayo, his wife and other passengers died when a helicopter crashed in the Marondera area.
Investigations into the crash are underway.
Chivayo was known for his close relationship with Jah Prayzah and supported him with several high-value gifts over the past two years.
These include a Mercedes-Benz S500 worth about US$180,000 in 2024, Toyota Aqua vehicles for Jah Prayzah, his son and dancers, and a Range Rover Autobiography and US$150,000 in cash in 2025.
In 2026, Chivayo gifted the musician a Ford Ranger Platinum and US$250,000 in cash, while also giving cash gifts to Jah Prayzah’s fiancée and mother.
He was also involved in preparations for the wedding, including arrangements for legendary musician Thomas Mapfumo to perform at the ceremony.
