Bind up the testimony and seal the teaching. The Remnant is back! We had a good time at Zomba Central SDA.
In a powerful demonstration of faith and humility, Minister of Lands and Urban Development Honourable Chimwemwe Chipungu on Sabbath, Saturday, rested from all his official work and congregated at Zomba Central SDA Church where he also preached the Word of God.
Throughout the week, Hon. Chipungu has been busy serving the nation, running from office to office, handling land issues, urban development matters and serving Malawians with dedication.
But when the Sabbath came, the God-fearing Minister put everything aside and chose the feet of Jesus.
This is exactly what God did at creation. According to Genesis, God created the heavens and the earth in six days, and on the seventh day He rested, He sanctified it, He blessed it and He commanded all generations to rest on the Sabbath and worship Him. Hon. Chipungu is living that Genesis principle.
Hon. Chimwemwe Chipungu is not just a Minister by title, he is a dedicated Adventist, a humble servant of God who does not absent himself from church no matter how busy his schedule is.
He is a man who proudly calls himself part of the Remnant, the faithful who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus.
Those who worshipped with him at Zomba Central SDA testify that he is humble, down to earth, God-fearing and full of wisdom. He did not go to the pulpit as a politician, he went as a servant, preaching with power, humility and deep understanding of the scriptures.
In a world where many leaders forget God when they get power, Hon. Chipungu has remained faithful, putting God first and work second on Sabbath. That is true leadership. That is the Remnant spirit.
