By Rahim Abdul

Organisers of the Beauty Fun Fair Event have announced that all preparations are complete ahead of the two-day festival set for 1st and 2nd November 2025 at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.

The event promises to bring together beauty enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and industry professionals from across the country.

Speaking to journalists, the event’s Head of Communication, Fatsani Chimvumbi, said the Beauty Fun Fair will serve as a dynamic platform for young people to learn, network and explore opportunities within the beauty and fashion industry.

She said the event will go beyond showcasing beauty products, describing it as a life-changing experience designed to inspire the youth to turn their passion into profitable ventures.

“This fair is not only about glamour it’s about empowerment, education, and entrepreneurship,” Chimvumbi emphasized.

Chimvumbi revealed that the event will feature a series of activities, including live demonstrations, makeup tutorials, hairstyling competitions and fashion showcases by both established and upcoming designers. The aim, she said, is to expose participants to the latest trends and techniques in the beauty industry.

To recognize excellence, organisers have also introduced Beauty Industry Awards that will celebrate individuals and businesses making a positive impact in the sector.

“We want to appreciate those who are raising the bar and contributing to the growth of Malawi’s beauty ecosystem,” added Chimvumbi.

The awards will cover categories such as Best Makeup Artist, Best Hair Stylist, Best Beauty Brand and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Winners will receive trophies and promotional opportunities to expand their businesses.

According to Chimvumbi, the event is expected to attract over 1,000 youth from various districts across Malawi. She said the response so far has been overwhelming
with many young people showing great interest in attending and participating.

She also noted that several corporate partners and beauty brands have come on board to sponsor the event, seeing it as an opportunity to support youth empowerment and innovation. Exhibitors will have the chance to market their products and connect directly with potential clients.

The organisers believe the Beauty Fun Fair will not only promote creativity and self-expression but also play a role in reducing youth unemployment by encouraging entrepreneurship.

“We want young people to realize that beauty can be business,” Chimvumbi stressed.
