Members of the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Hindu community in the country have expressed gratitude to the government for facilitating their religious freedom.
Their joy was palpable at the inauguration of their state-of-the-art Mzuzu Mandir (temple) on Saturday.
The event, which began with a celebratory march, drew participants from neighboring Zambia and Tanzania.

Located in the Kaning’ina area of Mzuzu City, the new Mandir was officially opened with Mayor Brian Kondwani Nyasulu serving as Guest of Honor.
The ceremony was also attended by businesspeople, chiefs, and local residents.
Member of the Malawi BAPS community,Jatendra Patel,stated that their commitment extends beyond temple construction, encompassing support for Malawians in various sectors, including health and environmental initiatives.
