FCB Nyasa Big Bullets gave up a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 against Karonga United at Kamuzu Stadium and miss the opportunity to finish top in the first round of this season’s TNM Super League.
The home side started the game very well and they got their first goal in the 6th minute through Blessings Mpokera who connected well a free kick by Peter Banda.
The visitors pulled level five minutes later through Benjamin Mapunda who capitalised on a defensive lapse on the part of Bullets.
Mike Mkwate restored Bullets’ lead in the 16th minute after a beautiful exchange of passes from the midfield to give the People’s team a 2-1 lead at half time.

Babatunde Adepoju scored the third goal for Bullets from the penalty spot after a handball incident in the penalty box.
Allen Chihana scored the second goal for the vistors in the 77th minute and Ishmael Chizinga leveled the scores in the 84th minute to help his side earn a deserving away point on the final day of the first round.
Elsewhere, the match between Civil Service United and league leaders Mighty Wanderers ended goalless as Silver Strikers beat Mzuzu City Hammers 2-0 at Rumphi Stadium.
The match between Chitipa United and Blue Eagles which was attended by President Lazarus Chakwera at Chitipa Stadium, ended 1-0 in favour of the home side.
Wanderers have maintained their top spot as they finish the first round of the TNM Super League with 35 points followed by Bullets who are just a point behind.
Silver Strikers are on the third position with 30 points followed by league debutants Ekhaya FC who are perched on position 4 with 28 points.
Songwe United have finished bottom of the 16-member league after collecting two points from 15 games.
