FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are through to the Airtel Top 8 final after beating Karonga United 2-1 in a highly contested semifinal tie played at the Bingu National Stadium (BNS) in Lilongwe.
Bullets were the first to score through a Chikumbutso Salima header past Karonga goalkeeper McLean Mwale thanks to a Peter Banda free kick in the 27th minute.

Karonga then levelled the scores in the 52nd minute through Ishmael Chizinga, finishing well a Patrick Phiri free kick.
Hassan Kajoke restored Bullets’ lead with a beautiful finish in the 64th minute after receiving an assist from Chawanangwa Gumbo.
There was a penalty appeal in the 77th minute when Chikumbutso Salima was fouled by Innocent Chitete in the penalty box but referee Easter Zimba denied Bullets the spot-kick.
The People’s team will meet the winner between Civil Service United and Silver Strikers who are playing in the second Airtel Top 8 semifinal at BNS on Sunday.
