Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has announced that he and his wife will support the late Chikumbutso Mtumodzi’s family by covering his children’s education expenses and helping them establish a business.
Bushiri made the announcement in a Facebook post on Thursday, recalling how Mtumodzi welcomed and financially supported them when they returned to Malawi from South Africa.
He expressed gratitude for Mtumodzi’s kindness and lamented about people who only value relationships when beneficial to them.

The ‘Major One’ revealed that many who benefited from his help in the past disappeared when he needed them after returning to Malawi.
He said the amount of support will be communicated privately to the family.
Mtumodzi, who was the Principal Secretary in the Department of Procurement and Supply Services died on Monday at the age of 52.
He was laid to rest in his home village, Chankhungu in Dowa District on Wednesday.
His burial ceremony was attended by the Vice President, Michael Usi, Secretary to the President and Cabinet Colleen Zamba, Minister of Local Government, Unity and Culture, Richard Chimwendo among other dignitaries.
Mtumodzi also served as Director of Information.
