Minister of Justice Charles Mhango has officially taken his oath of office and allegiance, affirming his commitment to uphold the law and serve the people of Malawi with integrity.

Madalitso Baloyi, the newly appointed minister responsible for Health and Sanitation, also completed the swearing-in ceremony, pledging to prioritize the nation’s health systems and public well-being.

Minister responsible for Local Government and Rural Development, Ben Malunga Phiri, followed suit, taking his oath of office and allegiance while promising to focus on empowering communities and enhancing rural development initiatives across the country.

The ceremonies marked a key step in ensuring that these ministries have leadership aligned with the government’s vision for service delivery, governance, and national development.

Officials in attendance praised the ministers for their dedication and expressed confidence that they would effectively implement policies to address pressing challenges in justice, health, and local governance.

Observers note that these appointments come at a critical time when strong leadership is needed to strengthen institutional efficiency, improve public service, and respond to citizens’ needs.

With their oaths now taken, Mhango, Baloyi, and Phiri are officially empowered to lead their respective ministries, set strategic priorities, and implement programs aimed at advancing Malawi’s development agenda.

The swearing-in signals a renewed commitment by the government to ensure competent leadership in essential sectors that directly impact the lives of Malawians.
