CFAO Mobility Malawi Limited on Monday donated K25.9 million to Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) to support early childhood education initiatives in Mzimba.
Speaking during the cheque handover ceremony in Blantyre,CFAO Mobility Malawi Limited Human Resource Manager, Kenwell Loveletter Khumbanyiwa, said the contribution is part of company’s corporate social responsibility drive, aimed at shaping a brighter educational future for children in and around Traditional Authority(T/A) Kampingo Sibande, where DAPP Mzimba Teacher Training College is located.
On his part,DAPP Country Director, Moses Chibwana, explained that the funds will support the project Enhancing Early Childhood Education Through Teacher Empowerment and Play-Based Learning.
He added that by 2026, the initiative aims to provide 600 children from 10 rural preschools with safe playgrounds and ensure their teachers are well-trained to deliver effective play-based learning.
