Lawrence Chaziya, the Malawi Congress Party Member of Parliament for Lilongwe Chilobwe, has called on the people of Zomba city to vote for party leader Dr. Lazarus Chakwera in order to continue the development work taking place across the country.
Chaziya made these remarks at a campaign rally organized by the party’s parliamentary candidate for the southern city constituency, Patricia Nangozo, held at Work’s Ground.
In her own address, Nangozo asked the people to elect her as their representative and thanked Chaziya for his support, noting that his own uncontested victory in his constituency is a clear sign of the people’s trust in him and the party.
Her candidacy is widely seen as a major strength for the MCP in the area, with Nangozo’s deep community roots and understanding of local issues resonating strongly with voters. This grassroots connection, combined with her vigorous campaign, positions her as a formidable contender who is capable of securing a decisive victory and effectively representing the constituency’s interests in parliament.
The rising popularity of the Malawi Congress Party across the southern region is increasingly evident, signaling a significant shift in the political landscape as more voters express their belief in the vision of the Chakwera government.
