Chewa Heritage Foundation (CHEFO) and Chifukwato cha Achewa over the weekend striked a truce aimed at ending the prolonged divisions.
Coordinator of Chewa people in Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique Senior Chief Lukwa told media conference in Lilongwe that His Majesty Kalonga Gawa Undi is not happy with the prolonged divisions.

Senior Chief Lukwa, said Kalonga Gawa Undi wants all people who lebelled against Chewa Heritage Foundation to cease fire and work together as people of one block under His leadership.
“From today on wards we will be moving as one block the good news is that we have senior Chief Kaomba who was one of the senior member,” he said.
Chefo Chairperson, Dr Stanley Khaila said was happy that chiefs have assured that all divisions are now water under the bridge.
“The chiefs have assured us that they will be working together all under His Majesty Kalonga Gawa Undi.
Senior Chief Govati of Mwanza has since commended Chefo for initiating the meeting. Govati said all chiefs have agreed to work with Kalonga Gawa Undi and in Malawi will recognize Lundu from lowershire.
Senior Chief Mbwatalika of Lilongwe has since urged the chiefs who attended the meeting to stick to the resolutions.
