The Second Vice-President Enock Chihana has assured Malawians that the current administration is working tirelessly to address the various challenges facing the country.
Speaking at a meeting in Rumphi Boma, Chihana thanked the people of Rumphi for their support in the recent general election. He acknowledged the significant hardships but stated the government has already begun implementing measures to alleviate them.

On the issue of hunger, Chihana recognized that while the severity varies, the problem is widespread across many districts, including those not named in the recent State of Disaster declaration. He promised that the government will ensure maize is made available at ADMARC selling points for easy public access.
During the event, Sub-Traditional Authority Mwang’onga, representing Paramount Chief Chikulamayembe, expressed that the Paramount Chief feels greatly honoured by the presidential appointment of one of his subjects to the role of Second Vice-President.
