Dr. Ben Chilima warned that if the government proceeds with the construction, the family will consider obtaining a court injunction. The family’s concerns highlight their desire for transparency and answers regarding Dr. Chilima’s passing.

In a separate development, the family has announced a memorial service to be held at Nsipe in Ntcheu district, which they have organized.

The service will likely be an opportunity for the family and friends to pay their respects to the late Dr. Chilima.

The family’s request to halt the construction of the memorial tombstone is driven by their need for more information about Dr. Chilima’s death.
