Goshen City, FAMA part ways

By Chisomo Phiri

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s Goshen City has announced the end of its partnership with the Film Association of Malawi (Fama).

In a statement released on Wednesday, Goshen City management says the decision comes after an internal review of partnerships and is part of a strategic realignment to allow both organizations to pursue their goals independently.

The statement makes clear that the move does not reflect negatively on FAMA or its role in the development of Malawi’s film industry.

However, the company indicates that its earlier pledge to support a film production project still stands.

It  says  although the partnership with FAMA  has ended, the project will continue through other appropriate channels.
