Goshen City Makes Bold Investment in Miss Malawi Platform

By Rahim Abdul

Goshen City has made a strong statement of support for beauty with purpose by awarding newly crowned Miss Malawi, Thandi Chisi, a total of K62 million in sponsorship.

The financial boost was officially presented through the Miss Malawi Beauty Pageant, marking one of the most significant rewards attached to the national crown in recent years.

Out of the total amount, Chisi herself will receive K50 million, while the remaining K12 million will be shared among the runners up, ensuring that the wider pageant team also benefits.

The gesture goes beyond celebration, reflecting a growing commitment to empowering young women through platforms that promote leadership, confidence, and social impact.

Goshen City founder Prophet Shepherd Bushiri reaffirmed his organisation’s dedication to partnering with Miss Malawi in initiatives aimed at uplifting communities.

Bushiri said Goshen City views the Miss Malawi Pageant as a strategic partner in shaping role models who can positively influence society, particularly young women across the country.

He added that the sponsorship is part of a broader vision to support talent, discipline and national representation on both local and international stages.

On her part, an elated Thandi Chisi described the support as timely and life-changing, noting that it strengthens her ability to focus on her responsibilities as Miss Malawi.

Chisi said the funds will help improve the welfare of the titleholders and enable them to actively engage in planned outreach and advocacy programmes.

“This means a lot to me and I’m grateful for the support,” Chisi describing the sponsorship as a vote of confidence in her leadership.

She further noted that financial stability allows the Miss Malawi team to work more effectively without the burden of constant resource constraints.

The sponsorship has been widely welcomed as a positive step toward strengthening the Miss Malawi brand and reinforcing the role of the pageant in national development.
