Malawian gospel icon Rudo Chakwera and Zambian artist Abel Chungu Musuka have released a new song titled ‘Wabwino’.
In an interview with 247 Malawi News,Rudo said the new song is a heartfelt testimony to God’s faithfulness and goodness, especially in difficult times.
She said with its uplifting message and blend of African rhythms and soul-stirring melodies, ‘Wabwino’is set to inspire and uplift listeners.
‘This is a very good gospel song that I have featured Abel. Abel is like a brother to me. He is such a powerhouse of a creative, and working with him was truly an experience,” said Rudo.
She said the new song was produced by Sir Odilo and Tricky Beatz and that the video which has vibrant visuals and imagery was directed by Tarsy.
The gospel singer said the song is now available for stream and download on various music platforms.
Rudo started her singing career in 1999.
The musician holds a Masters in Business Administration.
She studied music at the University of Malawi (UNIMA ) formerly Chancellor College(CHANCO ) and later returned to teach part-time.
A respected voice in Malawi’s music, she serves on the National Executive Committee and holds various artistic positions.
