Jumah says Malawians wants to know the truth about Chilima

By Vincent Gunde

Revolutionary President of Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Bantu Saunders Jumah the Utopian, says Malawians are not ready or expecting to hear the arrests of MCP officials, saying if anything everyone wants to know, is the truth about the death of Dr. Saulosi Klaus Chilima.

Jumah said Malawians wants to know if the plane crash that killed Dr. Chilima and eight others, in the Chikangawa forest on the 10th June, 2024 was truly a plane crash or an assassination saying Malawians wants to see MCP officials in jail if courts prove them that they were involved in the killing, corruption and embezzlement of state funds and property.

He said this country is tripping backwards in poverty, under development, and cracking through tribal tribulations saying Malawians need healing, need development, and unity as one country observing that one Malawi one people is failing because the country’s politics is divisive, destructive, nepotistic, and of hatred.

Speaking through a Revolutionary statement, Jumah has appealed for the second time to President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as well as the Public Affairs Committee (PAC) to push for the establishment of an institution –Inter- Party Organization for Dialogue and Reconciliation (IPOD- RE) in Malawi.

Jumah said the IPOD- RE will infuse, inject unifying nerves in all political players for all political formations assuring President Professor Mutharika that without the establishment of this institution, Malawi will never taste total and blanket development.

He said Madame Dr. Joyce Banda, first woman President of the country used her infinite intelligence to serve the clean waters of Lake Malawi, she sent politics on holiday and applied patriotism saying the lake was served, no portion went to Tanzania, the lake belongs to Malawi as it was before.

The Revolutionary President said in 2023 President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera invited Dr. Bakili Muluzi, Dr. Joyce Banda, Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, Paramount Kyungu, Mmbelwa, Gomani, Lundu and other political parties around the table.

He said after winning the 16th September, 2025 elections with a landslide victory, President Professor Mutharika in his speech at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre declared that his victory was for all citizens of Malawi not only for DPP followers or people of the South and North.

“We are placing ourselves on the forefront to help President Professor Mutharika and all other stakeholders to see to it that IPOD-RE is instituted in the country,” said Jumah.

He said Malawi politics needs ‘compromise” advising Malawi politicians to set aside their pride or egocentricity, they have a nation to build, and a nation they owe it to the future generations, warning them that if they cannot plant this seed of unity now, the country’s future is betrayed.
