The Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) is gearing up to host one of the country’s most anticipated economic events, the Malawi International Trade Fair. Scheduled to take place in Blantyre from May 22 to 29, the fair promises to be a hub for trade and investment opportunities.
According to Wezi Mungoni, MCCCI Director of Membership Development, the event will host over 160 exhibitors.
“This year’s fair promises an immersive experience designed to propel economic transformation, with carefully curated days catering to business networking, industry growth, and entrepreneurial development,” Mungoni said.

The fair’s activities will include networking days, allowing businesses to connect and forge new partnerships.
Additionally, there will be family and farmers’ market days, providing a platform for local producers to showcase their products.
The motor expo will showcase the latest automotive innovations, while school and career days will provide insights into future career opportunities.
Trading opportunities will also be a key feature of the fair, enabling businesses to explore new markets and products.
The Malawi International Trade Fair is designed to drive economic transformation and provide opportunities for businesses to innovate and grow.
Mungoni emphasized the importance of the fair in promoting economic development. “The fair will provide a platform for businesses to connect, innovate, and grow, contributing to the country’s economic development,” she added.
