Max & Sherry Dine and Lounge has rewarded two of its Chefs, Richard Mtawali and Waliyumo Mbisa for making a mark in the ‘Battle of Chefs Africa’ cooking competition, reaching the next round of the competition.
Speaking after presenting a cheque of K100,000 to each of the two, Founder of Max & Sherry Hope Mezuwa Banda said they thought of rewarding the two because their impressive performance has helped to put the company on the Map.

“The two started with competing in Blantyre at Amaryllis, they excelled and qualified to proceed to another level, in Lilongwe. They have been in Lilongwe for the whole of last week competing and they excelled again awaiting the next level.They have made us super proud and we can’t wait for the next steps,” said Mezuwa.
In his remarks, Richard Mtawali thanked Max & Sherry for supporting them in the competition and he also thanked ‘Battle of Chiefs Africa’ for recognising their work.
According to Famida Daud Aly who is the founder of ‘Battle of Chefs Africa’, the winner of the competition will walk away with K4 million.
