The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA Malawi Chapter) has expressed shock over the death of Blantyre Synod Radio Station Manager, Peter Mitunda.
MISA Malawi Chairperson, Golden Matonga, described Mitunda as a highly skilled journalist, saying his death is a significant loss to the media fraternity in the country.
Mitunda died yesterday, April 11, 2026, in Blantyre, after a long illness.
He worked for the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation as a producer and Presenter.
Mitunda will be laid to rest tomorrow, April 13, at Traditional Authority Nkalo in Chiradzulu.
