In a bid to reduce crime in the city, Mzuzu Police detectives have arrested four male suspects allegedly connected to various crimes.
The suspects, identified as Omega Msinde, aged 18, Zephani Phiri, 34 years, Noel Chitaya, 23, and Adam Chisi,aged 34, were arrested on July 15, 2025, in different townships within the city.
The arrests were made possible through an intelligence-driven operation, which led to the recovery of stolen items, including a Samsung mobile phone, a sound mixture, speaker, and solar battery, an unregistered Kinglion motorcycle, and a Sienta motor vehicle engine head.

The suspects are facing various charges, including theft, breaking into a building and committing a felony therein, robbery with violence, and theft by servant.
They will be taken to court soon after completing the necessary paperwork.
The Mzuzu Police are assuring the public that they will continue to provide their best services in ensuring security in the city.
The police operation is part of their efforts to reduce crime and bring perpetrators to justice.
The suspects hail from different parts of the country, including Traditional Authority Njolomole in Ntcheu District, Traditional Authority Mpherembe in Mzimba, and Traditional Authority Chisikwa in Kasungu District.
