Malawi’s national football team coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, will miss tomorrow’s crucial 2025 Africa Nations Championship(CHAN) qualifier against South Africa due to sudden illness.
According to leader of the delegation,Patrick Kapanga, Pasuwa complained of chest pains on Friday and has been admitted to Med Clinic in Pretoria for medical observation.
Meanwhile,in Pasuwa’s absence, assistant coach Peter Mponda is likely to lead the Flames in the high-stakes match at Loftus Stadium.

A win or draw would see Malawi qualify for the CHAN finals, building on their 1-0 victory in the first leg last week, courtesy of Zelliat Nkhoma’s strike.
CHAN finals will be hosted by Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda in August this year.
