Joseph Chavula, the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) regional chairperson for the Northern Region, has assured President Lazarus Chakwera that voters in the area will overwhelmingly support him in the next elections due to the various development projects implemented under his leadership.
Chavula made these remarks during MCP Campaign launch led by President Chakwera at the Mzimba Stadium. He highlighted several key projects, including the newly operational Chitipa Stadium, the provision of clean water in Karonga, and other development initiatives across the region, including the Mzimba Stadium where the rally was held.

However, the MCP regional leader also called for unity among Northern Region residents, urging them to work together to ensure the party secures a strong victory in the area. He emphasized the need for collective efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots mobilization.
The rally served as an opportunity for the ruling party to showcase its development record while rallying support ahead of future elections. President Chakwera’s administration has prioritized infrastructure and social services in the Northern Region as part of its broader national development agenda.
