By Vincent Gunde

President and Commander-in-Chief of Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Bantu Saunders Jumah, says the excuse that the Malawi Defense Force (MDF) cannot be dragged to court because it is sensitive involving the security of the country, is just the arrogance of President Lazarus Chakwera who does not know that MDF business is to procure or acquire weapons.

High Court Judge Redson Kapindu directed the state to provide to the court by Monday, January 22, 2024 MDF documents for the Vice President Saulosi Klaus Chilima who is answering corruption charges as a beneficiary of Zuneth Sattar corruption basket fund.

Judge Kapindu also ordered the state to submit the said documents directly to him in his chamber for impartial assessment away from external pressures and interferences looking at the sensitivity of the case.

Speaking through his face book page followed by millions of followers in Malawi and Africa, Jumah says Diplomatic corps, citizens and everyone know that every sovereign nation must have weapons saying there is no logic or justification exposing how Chilima managed to scam citizens’ taxes totaling US$220,000 in kickbacks.

Jumah says the truth is that if MDF is allowed to appear in court, it will implicate not only the Saulosi Chilima but the entire government leadership therefore, in order to serve the sitting government, corruption must be shielded.

He says the Tonse Alliance government in 4 years of its rule, has failed the country in all aspects from governance to security of the people, from AIP fertilizer to supply chain of tools that can economically benefit the country and uplift lifestyles of citizens.

The MRP President says the economic collapse the country is experiencing has happened on the watch of President Chakwera and his Vice President Chilima resulting in skyrocketing of all commodity prices of goods in every sector of society.

He says President Chakwera and his Vice Saulosi Chilima have completely failed to run the country and give citizens hope observing that their failure has made citizens fail to survive and the country to develop, a development which is worrisome.

“The period of 4 years of Tonse Alliance government has been a waste of time and resources in as far as economic growth and human development are concerned,” says Jumah.

He says President Chakwera’s government has been a complete fiasco and cluelessness saying the entire 4 years, President Chakwera has acted as a passenger in the government not a pilot or captain and has acted as an ordinary passenger in his government.

Jumah says the only time President Chakwera and Chilima agreed to work together is corruption and awarding scandalous deals or contracts to Indians, Butcheries and pharmacies observing that none of the two talks against this endure disease of corruption in Malawi because they are beneficiaries.
