In a recent statement, Catherine Gotani-Hara, the Deputy Leader of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP), urged Malawians not to be deterred from taking loans from the National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF). Speaking at a political rally at St. Martin’s in Zomba Thondwe, Hara emphasized that such loans are intended for Malawians and encouraged citizens to seize these opportunities.

Hara, who also serves as a legal advisor, reassured the public that the government is committed to helping Malawians access these funds. She further stressed that officials must play an active role in facilitating the loan acquisition process.

She highlighted that President Lazarus Chakwera is focused on ensuring food security for the nation. As part of this effort, the government has established Mega Farms to boost agricultural production and meet food needs.
