At the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) convention held at Comesa Hall in Blantyre, Dr. George Chaponda, the Chairperson of the convention, has officially announced the unanimous endorsement of His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2025 elections.

In a significant moment for the DPP, Dr. Chaponda declared that Professor Mutharika, who has previously served as Malawi’s President, has been overwhelmingly supported by party delegates to lead the party in the upcoming presidential race.
