Mulanje West Member of Parliament, Yusuf Nthenda, has issued a plea to residents near Muliya Trading Centre to protect construction materials intended for a new clinic. This call to action comes on the heels of the launch of an ambitious K80 million hospital clinic project within his constituency.

During the project’s inauguration, Nthenda emphasized the critical importance of preventing theft of construction materials, citing it as a significant barrier to developing durable infrastructure across the country. Traditional Authority Juma echoed Nthenda’s sentiments,* highlighting that a collective effort is necessary to combat malpractices at construction sites. Construction of the clinic is slated for completion within 90 days, signaling a rapid timeline aimed at swiftly addressing healthcare gaps in the area. The project’s success hinges significantly on the vigilance and support of the local community in safeguarding its progress and resources.

In conclusion, Yusuf Nthenda’s impassioned appeal and proactive measures underscore the community’s pivotal role in ensuring the timely and successful completion of vital public infrastructure projects like the Muliya Trading Centre clinic.
