Musician Kell Kay to launch his album “Ndabwera ndi Nkhani” today

Talented singer and songwriter Kell Kay, is expected to launch his highly anticipated studio album “Ndabwera ndi Nkhani” at Lilongwe Golf Club this afternoon.

The album comes packed with 20 tracks and is set to include songs like “Mukanabwera”, “One Day”, “Tender Love”, and “Lobola” .

On Friday the Multi-award-winning singer released his latest single “Tabwera” which is currently enjoying airplay in different entertainment platforms across the country.

Meanwhile South Africa’s popular music duo Mafikizolo are expected to arrive in the country this morning and will perform at the launch this afternoon.

Other artists that are expected to perform include; Zanda Zakuza also from South Africa, Great Angels Choir,Ma Blacks, Anthony Makondetsa,Piksy, Gwamba, Phyzix,Saint, Dremo, Jay Jay Cee, Charisma and many more.

SULOM’s Williams Banda apologies for insulting Islamic Radio Journalist

Super League of Malawi( SULOM) General Secretary Williams Banda has apologized to Islamic Radio for insulting its Journalist Yusuf Daisa on May 18, 2022.

Banda refused to grant interview to Daisa who wanted to seek clarification on why the TNM super league Champions Nyasa Big Bullets are given more away games than other teams in the competition.

In a letter that this publication has in possession, Banda says he genuinely regret the inconvenience caused to the institution ( Islamic Radio) due to his misconduct.

” As gesture of good will, I withdraw in totality and request your acceptance of my apology.

” Am sure you would pardon the mistake on my part and the Association as whole, ” reads the letter in part.

Banda has however, assured Islamic Radio of the SULOM cooperation and look forward to a more positive association with Daisa and Sports Writers Association.

Man who Killed his wife arrested in Lilongwe

Police in Lilongwe have arrested 30-year-old George Chisale on suspicion that he murdered his wife, Buthiat Mkwanda, 27, at Chinsapo location in Lilongwe on April 11, 2022.

Chisale, who has been at large since April, was arrested at Mpingu roadblock at around 08:30 hours today while on his way to Zambia.

After learning of his wife’s demise, Chisale fled to Zambia where he has been hiding all this time. He sneaked back into the country few days ago, and was reported to police by a well-wisher.

Police were on his trail until Thursday morning when he was spotted disguising himself, boarding an MG number plate vehicle aiming to get back to his hiding destination.

In April this year, it is said that Chisale (suspect) had disagreements with his wife, Mkwanda, which resulted into a fight.

As a result of the fight, Mkwanda became unconscious and was rushed to Kamuzu Central Hospital where unfortunately, she was later pronounced dead while receiving treatment.

She hailed from Chinamwali village, Traditional Authority Mlumbe, Zomba.

The suspect, George Chisale, who is expected to face murder charges, hails from Chiyendausiku Village, T/A Nsamala in Balaka District.

World Vision Malawi geared to end child marriage in Mchinji

In a bid to end child marriages and sustain the well-being of children especially the most vulnerable, World Vision Malawi (WVM) conducted awareness campaign meetings in Mchinji by women role models to motivate girls to stay in school.

Speaking on Wednesday during the campaign meeting dubbed “It takes Malawi to end marriage campaign Mchinji,”District Programmes Manager for WVM, Mereena John said the organization conducted the campaign for adolescents between 12 to 18 years from five primary and secondary schools in their rural area programme.

“WVM engaged women who hold influential and senior positions in the district to motivate girls that they can attain such positions if they work hard and not get married early,” she said.

Officer in-charge for Mchinji Police, Rhoda Manjolo said child marriage was harmful not only to girls but to entire communities and further warned that all people who abuse children would face the law and be prosecuted.

District Gender Officer for Mchinji, Mariana Kanjirawaya said girls are vulnerable in all aspects and are treated as worthless hence the district needs to pay attention to the injustice that prevents girls reaching their potential.

Onesmus real name Armstrong Kalua, says that he has quit the Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s Major 1 Records and since signed with an undisclosed record label.

Onesmus made the announcement this morning on his official Facebook page saying the move is a bid to expand his musical reach aimed to accommodate all masses.

“I would like to announce that I am no longer with Major 1 Records as I have signed with a different music management company. The move is a bid to expand my musical reach as I will be making all kinds of music to accommodate different masses”

The ‘Mr. Nobody’ hitmaker however, has emphasized the his relationship with Prophet Shepherd Bushiri is still intact as his Spiritual leader.

“I must underline and emphasise that this move in my management does not change the relationship I have with my spiritual leader Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, As well as my membership to the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) The Jesus Nation Church,” he wrote.

The 32 year old star Onesimus is one finest R&B/Pop vocalist who in this generation has put out refreshing music that has impressed not only his peers but the older masses inclusive.

The Musician thanked Major 1 Records for the unconditional support rendered to my career and its my prayer that the label continue to support more artists as it always does.
