By Chisomo Phiri

South Africa-based-Malawian gospel musician Luke Nyoni has on Monday July 17, 2023 released a new gospel song titled ‘Timamziwa’.

In an interview, the fast-rising singer said the song contains the message from act 19 vs 11 to 22 where sons of scava were doing things following what apostle Paul was doing without knowing exactly what they were doing.

“So from this story, the song illustrates same things that are happening now where most people are doing God’s ministry without knowing him (God) first.

One word to Mutharika as he celebrate birth day-Its time to relinquish power to young people

By Linda Kwanjana

Former President Peter Mutharika who is also leader of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is today celebrating his 83rd birthday in silence.

The birthday celebration comes barely weeks after the National Governing Council (NGC) of the party endorsed him as the party’s torchbearer in the forthcoming 2025 presidential polls.

But Mutharika is yet to make a decision on the matter.

If he accept to be the party’s torchbearer it means he will be contesting in the 2025 polls at the age of 85.

Most commentators have been asking Mutharika to pave the way for young people because to be the President at the age of 85 means will be completing his term while aged 90 which is just old for the presidency.

Mutharika was already bypassed by his aides while serving as President. His TIP account was heavily abused to the extent that few people surrounding him benefitted.

So this is time Mutharika should think of bowing out from power paving the way for young people.
