Lilongwe derby ends in draw;
Dedza Dynamos beat KB 2-1 at Balaka Stadium

Silver Strikers has been held to a 1-1 draw in a fiercely contested TNM super league derby match against city-rivals Civil Service United at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe

The central bankers were the first to score just 7 minutes into the game through Chawanangwa Kaonga with an assist from Blessings Tembo.

The civil servants equalised at 22 minutes through former Nyasa Big Bullets striker Patrick Phiri after Young Chimodzi Junior failed to clear a Damiano Kunje’s corner.

In another match played on Sunday, rookies Dedza Dynamos continued to shine in the top flight as they came from behind to beat Kamuzu Barracks 2-1 at Balaka Stadium.

Charles Chipala were on target for the Dynamos while Horace Mchoma scored KB’s consolation from the spot.

In Blantyre, Wakawaka Tigers and Mighty Wanderers played out to a goal-less draw at Mpira Stadium as Sable Farming FC and Ekwendeni Hammers drew 1-all at Mulanje Park.

The visitors were the first to score through Wongani Lungu but Emmanuel Lino scored Sable’s equaliser.

Blue Eagles remain top on the log table with 9 points from three games followed by Dedza Dynamos who have now accumulated 7 points from the same number of games. Red Lions are perched on third position with 7 points but Dedza Dynamos have a better goal difference.

Bullets thrash Ekwendeni Hammers as Eagles and Lions continue to shine in the TNM Super League

Nyasa Big Bullets recorded their second successive victory in the TNM Super League as they won 3-1 against Ekwendeni Hammers at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday and move to third on the log table.

The People’s team drew first blood 32 minutes in the first half with a goal from MacFallen Mgwira.

In the second half, the Ndirande outfit continued to pressurise with Precious Sambani, Chimwemwe Idana and Lanjesi Nkhoma exchanging beautiful passes.

This in turn forced the visitors to commit an error in the box and Babatunde Adepoju capitalized to give Bullets a 2-nil advantage in the 55th minute.

The Nigerian could have claimed a brace in the 65th minute but his connection missed Chancy Mtete’s goal post by a whisker.

The visitors then pulled one back in the 67th minute through Joseph Mbewe but it was Hassan Kajoke who finished off the northern region side with a brilliant finish in the 83rd minute after receiving a pass from Chimwemwe Idana

In another match played on Saturday, a lone goal from Chikondi Mvula gave Blue Eagles a vital away win against Mzuzu-based-soldiers Moyale Barracks at Mzuzu Stadium.

The result means Blue Eagles are on top of the log table with nine points after winning all their three games this season.

In Lilongwe, Red Lions continued their fine run of form as they claim a 2-nil away win against fellow soldiers Mafco FC at Civo Stadium.

Chikoti Chirwa and Ronald Pangani were on target for the Lions.

Red Lions have now moved to second on the table having won all their two matches this season.

Moyale FC supporters donate cash gift to the team

Moyale Barracks Football team supporters have donated cash gift amounting to over 1 hundred thousand kwacha as one way of showing gratitude and love to the team.

Speaking during the cash hand over ceremony held at Mzuzu stadium, treasurer for the group Emily Nyirenda said they thought it wise to donate cash gift to the team as encouraging factor to the players.

Nyirenda said as supporters, it is their responsibility to make sure that their beloved team is doing well, and for this to happen, players need motivation and great support.

” We are here to give them strong base for excellent lifting up the ball on the pitch. For this to happen, players need both monetory and material support. This also serves as thanks-giving to them for their wonderful performance shown in previous seasons,” She explained.

Reacting to the development, the club’s Captain Lyod Njaliwa expressed gratitude over donation saying the team was overwhelmed with the gesture supporters showed to them.

” As team,we did not expect this to come today, we thank you for everything you have sacrificed. This has given us new energy to gear forward for the best in this season,” Njaliwa gratified.

Prophet Zebron foretells about disastrous events to engulf the world in 60 days coming

God’s Will Church of All Nation ( GWCOAN) leader and founder Prophet Frank Zebron has warned the world that he sees deadliest events taking place soon after Easter holiday if people will not repent their sins.

Zebron made the sentiments on Sunday during live service as he was ministering his church service to the congregates.
He said, from the month May to July, 2022, the cases of Corona virus will increase and will claim more lives,Hence, urging people to repent their sins so that they should not die in sins.

” Am warning you that Corona virus will this time around kill alot of people than before, and the best way to avert this is to repent our sins and attain heavenly life,” he said.

He added that, he see some men and women of God ministering word of God while using Magic and other evil powers to manipulate minds of people which he said is a tool in misleading people to Hero.

Zebron warned those who are ministering the word of God while using other sources of power , not from God to repent before God expose them.

” There are a lot of false men and women of God who are misleading people across the globe. Am telling them to repent before God expose their evil ways” He explained.

Malawian Coach ‘Maduka’ dedicates DStv Premiership Coach of the Month award to his team and family

Former Flames captain John Maduka who won his first ever South Africa’s DStv Premiership Coach-of-the-Month accolade last night has dedicated the award to his team Royal AM as well as his family and friends.

Maduka won the award for the month of February and his player at Royal, Mxolisi Macuphu also won the 2021/22 Player of the Month award.

The former Silver Strikers player has since described the award as a special thing to him and has thanked his team for giving him enough support this season

“I’m very excited to have this award. It is my first one as a coach and it is very special for me. I thank God and my family for the support they have been giving me.”

“I would also like to thank my players, they have been working very hard and my technical team as well as the management, it is a collective effort,” said Maduka.

Maduka who was appointed coach of the club, formerly Bloemfontein Celtic, in July 2020, was named Coach of the Month for February and beat Marumo Gallants’ Dan Malesela, Cape Town City’s Eric Tinkler, and Mamelodi Sundowns duo Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena.

The 51-year-old guided Royal to pick 11 points from their five games from February 7 to March 20.
