Prophet Bushiri calls Mlaka Maliro great leader, Says he loves Vinyo Watha song

Prophet Bushiri has finally spoken in regards to recent developments where Mlaka Maliro ,one of the pastors in his church announced that he is leaving .

In a press release issued on Tuesday Morning it states the ECG Jesus Nation Church has noted several circulations on social and mainstream media with regards to the status of Pastor Mlaka Maliro.

“The church, as a matter of fact, would like to inform the public the following:

•Pastor Mlaka was the National Pastor for ECG Jesus Nation Church in Eswatini [formerly Swaziland]
•There were disciplinary issues involving his wife and she was summoned to appear before the church directors in Lilongwe, Malawi.
•Pastor Mlaka followed his wife to Malawi and after noting the details of disciplinary issues his wife was summoned for, issues we can’t disclose to the public, he decided to step down”.

The statement from Bushiri sees the Prophet heaping praise on Mlaka by calling Pastor Mlaka is a great leader. “

“In the three years he has served our ministry—from being a resident pastor in several branches in South Africa to become the National Pastor of a nation—Pastor Mlaka showed great leadership skills as both a minister of the gospel and an administrator.

In this vein, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri wishes Pastor Mlaka well and he is confidently resolute that wherever Pastor Mlaka goes, he will always achieve greatness. “

With regards to ‘There is no wine’ song by Pastor Mlaka, Prophet Bushiri considers it to be a great song and he loves it immensely. The Prophet understands that when a great composer such as Pastor Mlaka sits down to create a song, he gets inspired by so many things.

The Prophet feels that whatever inspired Pastor Mlaka to make the song, he strongly believes that his motives must be respected

Kell Kay announces release date for his album ‘Ndabwera Ndi Nkhani

Singer-songwriter Kell Kay will release a new album titled ‘Ndabwera Ndi Nkhani’ on March 22.

Making the announcement on his Facebook page, the singer, real name Kelvin Kambwiri said the launch of the album will take place at Lilongwe Golf Club.

“Ndabwera Ndi Nkhani album launch. I pray this should be the biggest event of my whole career, so help me God,” Reads the statement in part.

The singer rose to fame in 2014 with his hit single entitled ‘Ndilole Ndipite’ and has recently teamed up with Avokado and Leslie in a hit single titled “Tender Love.”

Lingadzi Police Station is hunting for a man who brutally murdered his biological son and threw the head in Chimbalame river.
This occurred on 11th March 2022, in Mtandire.

The deceased has been identified as a 3 year old Calvin Issah of Charela village in Traditional Authority Tambala in Dedza.

Sub inspector Salomy Zgambo, Lingadzi Police PRO said intelligence gathered, the suspect in August 2021, suffered from mental disorder and was taken to Dedza distinct hospital where he was receiving treatment.

But he escaped from the hospital to unknown destination.

On 11th March 2022, at around 1:00 o’clock, he suddenly appeared at his wife’s house in Mtandire where he found the family sleeping.

The suspect then took the child (now deceased) and started running.

Family members followed him but failed to locate him.

On 12th March, the family continued with the search and around 17:00 oclock, they found the head of the child which was stuck at the middle of the river.

It is believed that the suspect beheaded his son and threw the head in Chimbalame river while the body was yet to be discovered.

Later in the evening, the body was found just few metres from Spearhead bridge with both arms and legs amputated.

Investigations are still underway to recover the remain body parts and arrest the suspect.

Russia UKraine War to affect Malawi and Least Developed countries says Foreign Minister

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nancy Tembo, has expressed concern that the Ukraine – Russia war poses a threat to Least Development Countries (LDCs) saying it might affect prices of goods such as fuel and fertilizer.

The Minister made the remarks in Lilongwe on Monday during a press briefing on the Presidential Trip to the United States of America (USA) under the banner Government Faces the Press.

She says there is need for developed countries and other development partners to help cushion LDCs such as Malawi on the effects of the Ukraine – Russia war.

Minister of Information, Gospel Kazako, described the trip as important saying it will accord the President meet the United Nations Secretary General, International Monetary Fund (IMF) officials among others to negotiate for more assistance for Malawi.

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera leaves this afternoon for New York, USA to attend the first part of the Fifth United Nations Conference on LDCs where he will deliver a key note address on their behalf at the conference.

Chakwera off to America on Monday, to represent Least Developed countries at United Nations

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera will leave the country for America tomorrow to undertake an official visit from 15th to 19th March 2022.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says as Chairperson for the United Nations (UN) Group of Least Developed Countries (LDCs), among other engagements, President Chakwera will participate in the first part of the 5th UN Conference on the LDCs which will launch the Doha Programme of Action for LDCs on 17th March 2022 at the UN Headquarters in New York.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, says the Malawi leader by being Chairman of LDCs will represent 46 countries at the impending UN meeting and deliver a keynote address.

Malawi assumed the chairship of the UN Group of LDCs in 2018 and it will come to an end in September 2022.

During the conference, the Doha Programme of Action for LDCs will be launched.

The statement further says the Doha Programme of Action has the following priority areas that are critical for developing countries, and are aligned to Malawi’s development aspirations:

1. Investing in people in LDCs; 2. Leveraging the power of science technology and innovation; 3. Structural transformation as a driver of prosperity; 4. Enhancing international trade of LDCs; 5. Addressing climate change; and 6. Mobilizing international solidarity.

The Ministry says Dr Chakwera will articulate how these priority areas augur well with the country’s aspirations as outlined in Agenda 2063.

In conclusion, the statement discloses that the President and the First Lady will return home on Monday, 21st March 2022, at 09:30 am through the Kamuzu International Airport..
