President and Commander in Chief of Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Bantu Saunders Jumah, has thanked the quasi-Public Affairs Committee (PAC) for organizing a national Indaba that Malawians are one country in unity and what divide them is politics and language.

Jumah said it was very encouraging to see all Malawians gathered together at the Mount Soche Hotel for an all-inclusive conference with no tribe but one tribe, Malawians saying their biggest problem is politics which is dividing the nation.

He said Malawians have failed to undo injustices of one party state saying the country is sitting on a time bomb threatening unity-the language because all take Chichewa a language of one tribe as a national language.

Speaking through a Revolutionary voice with civic education, Jumah has expressed his great concern       about the national language that people are promoting something that is dividing not uniting saying Malawi needs Chimalawi language to unite all.

Jumah has praised Members of Parliament for removing political colors in the National Assembly with national colors for the country saying this has promoted unity and not promoting a political party in the National Assembly.

He said the country has to abolish Chichewa as a national language for a unity and diversity Chimalawi calling on all Malawians to be independent thinkers of not allowing political parties to divide them as a nation.

The MRP President said while he is applauding PAC for a national Indaba, stakeholders attending the conference are the ones taking the country hostage observing that the conference took time to express different views on political violence while the trouble causers were there inside the room.

He has noted with a great concern that PAC did not invite smaller parties to its conference wondering why they were isolated claiming that this country has 23 registered political parties speaking for itself that the country is in hostage because of resources.

The MRP President said stakeholders do not want young political parties to benefit so that they can share resources amongst themselves saying it was very worrisome to see young political party’s representatives leaving the conference room because they were not invited.

He has appealed to Mec to provide PAC, Embassies and CSOs a list of all registered political parties in Malawi so that in meetings like these ones of uniting the country, these young political parties must be invited to give their inputs.

“We spent a lot of resources for our parties to be registered new laws, finding 100 people in each district for signatures to reach I million, and a lot of time was spent writing our manifestos, we need to be part and parcel,” said Jumh.

He said these young political parties are being invited  only to attend meetings and conferences                                                                                                                                                                                              when there is no money, sidelining them is an insult to democracy saying MRP Secretary General Greyson Mikuwa was humiliated on the door that the party is not a registered one, advising PAC to apologize for not inviting young political parties to its conference.
