Chikuse writes first book  ‘Jacaranda Blossoms’

Renowned writer Emmanuel Chikuse has released his first book titled ‘Jacaranda Blossoms’, a collection of poems that tell a love story from its beginning to its end.

In an interview with 247 Malawi News, the author revealed that his obsession with art and love inspired him to write the book.

“I love love, and I love writing about it. I wanted to explore the stages of love, and this book is a culmination of that exploration,” he said .

Chikuse said the book which is currently available for purchase directly from him, will soon be available in all Montfort Media offices across the country.

The writer expressed his optimism about the future of the writing industry in the country.

“I have noticed that the reading culture declined a few years ago, but I am hopeful it will grow.I see a bright future with many gifted writers emerging and releasing books,” he said.

He extended his gratitude to several mentors, including Onjezani Kenani, Shadreck Chikoti, and Chisomo Mdala, as well as his family and support system, Redeemed Arts.

“I thank those who have already bought the book. I thank Jesus for the gift of writing,” he said.

Chikuse started writing at a young age.

Apart from being a writer ,he is also actor, cartoonist, and art critic.
